The secondary plant substance curcumin is obtained from the Indian yellow root (scientific name Curcuma longa). The root of yellow, also called turmeric, has been traditionally used in the Indian and Chinese area for thousands of years. Vitamin C as well as vitamin D contribute to a normal function of the immune system.
